Flowergirls

My (soon-to-be) two gorgeous little nieces jumped out of their socks when they heard their 'naughty uncle Barnin' and I were getting married. The very first thing the girls asked me when they saw me was whether they were allowed to 'walk down the aisle and hold flowers' at the wedding...in other words, be our flowergirls. Of course I said yes, and am excited about including them in our special day.

The other day, I went around to Byron's sisters house to discuss dresses and potential outfits. The problem we origionally faced, was that it's near impossible to find flower girl dresses for an informal beach wedding from bridal stores. From what I had seen, they are over the top, not to mention expensive.
Even plain purple summer dresses are hard to come by, as we are out of season in the middle of Autumn. So after suggesting we purchase online and get a dressmaker to construct the girls dresses to spec, we got to work, looking at designs, shapes and colours. I decided to let the girls have an imput in the decision making, something that was humorous and cute at the same time. Here's why.

This was the dress little miss Olivia picked out first...

We had a little chuckle.

Then with the help of Mr B's sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Trevor, we managed to measure each girl as they giggled away.

We settled on this dress in the end (in purple). I just know both girls will look so pretty in this dress.

Looking forward to seeing how the dresses turn out!
