To Balayage or not to Balayage?

I'm in two minds to get a hair makeover before the wedding. I just need a change. My hair is boring me at the moment and I'm not in the mood for another fringe. I've wanted to try Balayage for some time now. Yes that funky looking hair colour application that looks more like naturally-caused hilights rather than the kind you pay for in the salon that involve foils or caps. Worst case scenario, if I don't like it I can always change back to dark brown by October, easy done.

I just want to lighten up and give my hair some more movement, like Lily Aldridge, my current hair crush at the moment! Check out how much better she looks with a bit of Balayage in her life...

Super stunning girl with super stunning hair! Here's s'mor balayage coming atcha...

Pro's: looks great and warms the complexion. Con's: looks best when hair is done (no more being lazy and leaving hair to naturally dry). Balayage 1, boring-ness 0

Celebrity wedding looks

Here's a few of the most memorable...

Megan Fox's dress and flowers are absolutely stunning although the large veil is out of place. Especially on the beach without shoes...kind of swamps the outfit. Still looks amazing regardless.

Audrey Hepburn and (American actor) Mel Ferrer. The year after my mother was born - 1954. Doesn't the groom look daper? And just look at that tiny waist of hers.
The one and only John Lennon & Yoko Ono. Speechless. John's polo neck + sport coat combo; Yoko's hat, knee highs and wild hair! Leisure wear x rockstar jetsetters. They honeymooned in Amsterdam apparently.

Kate Moss and (The Kills frontman) Jamie Hinze got hitched last year. Galliano made Kate's dress as a wedding gift. However, look how dapper Mr. Hinze looks in that shade of blue + tie combo. Splendid!

Lily Aldridge & Caleb Followill were a handsom couple on their wedding day. Lily oozes natural beauty and has perfected the art of natural to a T. Her makeup and hair look spectacular. Loving her dress too. Classic bride in my view.

One of the many weddings of Liz Taylor. Loving the short sleeved-cape combo!

Much like the larger than life King himself, everything about his wedding to Priscilla was completely OTT. Las Vegas, the ridiculous cake and that empire line lace sleeved dress. More for me like a wedding from hell!

No one could ever look as regal as Grace Kelly did on her wedding day to Prince Rainie. I'll even forgive her for that OTT cake!

Bianca Jagger was 4 months pregnant when she wed Mick Jagger. Can you even tell? She's one of my style icons and looks utterly fabulous. Famous quote of hers..."My marriage ended on my wedding day..."

Mia Farrow and Blue eyes. Mia is so elegantly cool I die a little inside.

Iman and Bowie doing what they do best. Beautiful couple and Iman looks incredible.

Wedding rings and things

I read about a jeweller in Australia where you can go and actually make each other's wedding bands. I'm not just talking designing the ring, I mean going through the whole ring making process from milling to bending, soldering and filing/polishing. Pretty cool idea! Especially if the fubby is a wee bit apprehensive about wearing jewellery in the first place. It's called the wedding ring experience. Still deciding if we want to do it. It is a fun thing for a couple to do together; but the only problem is that I already have my wedding band (matching ring from the same jeweller as the engagement ring). It is worth it? I could always get a ring for the other finger, or a matching ring for the bottom to cushion the engagement ring? Decisions, decisions...

As a plan B, here are some other nice designs I've found so far...

Fingerprinted for  personal touch

I really like the design of this one too

Either way, the words LOLM will be engraved on the inside (love of my life). How could Mr. B not want to wear such a thing?!
